After the success of its first showroom in Milan, Arper has created a second showroom in Stockholm, completed in February 2012. The selection of Stockholm as a showroom site was no coincidence, but rather, a reinforcement of the natural empathy Arper has felt for Scandinavian design and culture from the beginning.
The design of the space mimics the aesthetic values found throughout Stockholm: a fusion of tactility and modernity, brightness without sacrificing warmth, lightness punctuated by bursts of color.
The interior design project was done by the widely regarded, Barcelona-based Lievore Altherr Molina. The concept is that of a bright and reduced space that serves as subtle background to allow the furniture to come to the fore. Its fluid lines and carefully composed, vivid colors contrast with the white space and bleached wood, which are echoed in the expressive photography of Maurice Scheltens exhibited throughout.
Both inspirational and functional, the space offers the possibility to physically explore the wide range of collections, variations and finishes for which Arper is well know, providing support for both residential and contract projects.
