Catifa Carta joins the collection of the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) in Melbourne, Australia’s oldest gallery and one of the country’s leading cultural institutions. An important recognition for us and for a project rooted in research into materials and processes, exploring new possibilities for more responsible and circular design.
Catifa Carta is also currently on display in Plant Life: The Nature of Design at NGV Australia. The exhibition explores the relationship between nature and design, and the role plant-based materials can play in shaping new approaches to design and imagining the future.

Catifa Carta’s inclusion in the NGV collection marks a new step in the project’s journey, reinforcing the value of research as a way to rethink how design is conceived and made. This achievement was also made possible through the support and collaboration of Stylecraft, our brand partner in Australia.
