We are pleased to announce that Catifa Carta, designed by Lievore Altherr Molina, has received an Honorable Mention at the XXIX edition of the Compasso d’Oro ADI Award, established by Gio Ponti in 1954 and today one of the most prestigious international design awards.
This achievement is testament to our commitment to research and innovation, which allows us to develop responsible solutions for contemporary spaces. To us, this approach means care, vision, and courage: an ongoing journey that explores new possibilities for materials, processes, and products.
Claudio Feltrin, President of Arper, comments: “Catifa Carta is the first chair with a “carbon negative” shell, meaning it stores more CO2 than it generates. We never stop asking ourselves how our company can become more responsible through new and different approaches to design; this important recognition from ADI encourages us to continue our research into materials and processes that reduce the impact of our products through an increasingly circular approach.”
With this Honorable Mention, Catifa Carta becomes part of the ADI Compasso d’Oro Historical Collection, confirming the value of a project that brings together innovation, responsibility, and culture in a tangible vision for contemporary design.
