In collaboration with Fondazione Imago Mundi, CentroMarca Banca and Scuola di Limes, we have launched the partnership "L'Italia nel mondo che cambia" (Italy in a Changing World) aimed at supporting young people eager to deepen their knowledge and skills in geopolitics.
The partnership is structured into various initiatives and is based on the premise that in the current international context, where political borders between states are not sufficient to delineate interests and areas of influence, it becomes increasingly difficult to distinguish networks of relationships. In this context, the geopolitical analysis promoted by Scuola di Limes helps to make sense of the apparent chaos surrounding us, introducing an element of reflection in a public debate often dominated by emotion and media compulsion.
The first initiative of the partnership, announced during the press conference held in Treviso, was the public meeting "L'Italia nel mondo che cambia," which took place on May 15 in the Church of San Teonisto in Treviso. The meeting featured Lucio Caracciolo, founder and director of Limes, Fabrizio Maronta, head of editorial and international relations at Limes, and Massimiliano Valerii, director general of Censis.
The topics covered were an overview of the current international moment with the aid of Limes cartography; the geoeconomic and technological implications of the main open fronts, particularly the Ukrainian conflict and the "trade war" between China and the United States; and the causes and consequences of Italy's acute demographic problem, with its implications for the country's future. Claudio Feltrin, Chairman of the Board of Arper, commented: “I believe that investing in culture, training, and education is fundamental for the social and economic progress of our community; as Arper, we are excited to collaborate with other local companies to invest in young minds and promote a shared vision of positive change through the knowledge and understanding of the world around us.”
The first step of the partnership consists of providing a contribution to Scuola di Limes for financing three courses for the year 2024 for the three most deserving students. The recipients were selected by Scuola di Limes from those already enrolled in the course, based on the Curriculum vitae submitted during the registration phase.
Scuola di Limes, like the magazine from which it originates, thrives on osmosis with the social, professional, institutional, and cultural realities that characterize Italy and contribute to making it – despite undeniable difficulties – a country of enormous expressed and potential resources. The school aims to reduce Italy's competitive disadvantage on the international scene by providing the tools to understand the forces that shape the planet and to understand how to position our country in global competitions.
Our collaboration with Fondazione Imago Mundi, CentroMarca Banca, and Scuola di Limes will continue in the coming months, with the aim of exploring new opportunities and designing new initiatives together.
