The Permanent Design Observatory of the ADI (Italian Association for Industrial Design) selected the Arper booth project for the Design Index 2018.
The prestigious ADI Design Index 2018, annually issued by the Association for Industrial Design, is renowed as one of the most authoritative and prominent publications in the Italian design industry. With the selection in the ADI Design Index 2018, Arper is automatically running for the next Compasso d'Oro.
The exhibit design presented by Arper for the first time at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2017 was considered completely innovative, as confirmed by this prestigious recognition. Arper booth has collected a number of awards since it was first presented, including the "Best of Best" of the prestigious German Iconic Awards, and The Plan award.
Arper’s stand was designed by Studio MAIO, the architecture firm specializing in spatial systems founded by Maria Charneco, Alfredo Lérida, Guillermo López and Anna Puigjaner. The architects teamed up with Jeannette Altherr – Studio LA – designer and creative director of Arper, with the objective of creating a space that best represents the interaction between architecture and Arper’s collections. A profoundly innovative approach, supported by the stylist Stef Bakker and the lighting design studio Cook & Associates.
ADI Design Index 2018 publication was presented yesterday, October 15th, in Milan at the Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci during the opening of the exhibition that features successfully selected products and projects. From 20th of November the exhibition will be displayed in Rome at the Acquario Romano-Casa dell’Architettura.
A video showing some of the most significant angles of the booth was created to present the project during the exhibition.
