Redefining Beauty is our intention. We aim for a beauty that embraces natural qualities over perfection, that values care over abundance, that seeks meaning over novelty. Far from being merely about appearance, beauty, to us, is a profound and essential force—one that embodies our responsibility, as a brand, towards people and the planet. Beauty is a timeless expression that evolves with integrity, surprising us by revealing itself where we had not yet imagined. It is a continuous pursuit - exploring new materials, developing innovative solutions, and rethinking processes to shape a more responsible future. Beauty is our hope for the future - a world to be passed down to the next generation. It’s what motivates us to create spaces and solutions that serve the project of living.
MATERIAL INNOVATION

RECYCLED PLASTIC
The iconic Catifa 46, 53, and Catifa Bench collections have been reimagined with innovative materials and more responsible production solutions. The new shell, made from 100% recycled plastic, combines post-consumer and post-industrial plastic to create a more conscious approach to design.

PAPERSHELL
Following the introduction of PaperShell in Catifa 53, we are now exploring new applications for the shell of Catifa 46. At the same time, as part of our ongoing commitment to sustainable innovation, we are developing a fully PaperShell base for Catifa Carta 53. This project is made possible through our partnership with Swedish startup PaperShell and with the support of the Nco2Factory project.*

BREATHAIR®
BREATHAIR®—an elastomer polyester—is known for its unique properties: elastic, breathable, water-resistant, and fully recyclable. For the first time, it has been shaped to seamlessly integrate into the lines of Catifa (RE) 46 and Catifa Carta as a new cushion padding, combining seating comfort with a visible material expression on the backrest.

ARPER DESIGN STORIES
How can we redefine beauty through circularity? In this episode we explore how the application of PaperShell to Catifa Carta is setting a new standard for circular design in the industry.
