Outdoor spaces
Whether it is a space designed specifically for outdoor play or learning environments, or a space to meet and relax, outdoor spaces encourage healthy behaviors and improve the physical and mental wellbeing.
Discover moreHow do we want to live now? More responsibly. More expressively. More connected. The world is in constant change, and the solution we might need today might not be what we need tomorrow.
To respond and adapt, Arper creates the strategies for a world in flux—shaping spaces and solutions, forwarding sustainable practices, pursuing new product innovations, and cultivating culture and ideas with thoughtful, life-centered design. We’re thinking holistically: strategies instead of products, spaces instead of collections, the planet instead of human interest alone.
Together, in dialogue with our clients and partners, we design the world we want to live in. This is what makes the Project of Living.
How can design empower and inspire new kinds of spaces? At a moment when it’s more relevant and necessary than ever, modularity has always been core to our design approach. Rigorously modular and endlessly flexible and customizable, our agile systems can be adapted with ease to diverse and changing needs and spaces, allowing easy assembly and disassembly for maintenance, reuse, and recycling.

Discover moreThe increasing demand for informal and adaptable social and communal areas has prompted a fresh approach to furniture design.
Discover moreBeyond providing moments of relaxation and reflection, waiting and lounge areas have become hubs for meetings and collaboration.
Discover moreHow can design help to build a more responsible business and a more sustainable future? In 2023, we released our 2022 Sustainability Report —the first in Arper’s history. Detailing what we’ve done and where we’re going, it covers the broad scope of our ambitions: centering wellbeing of people and the planet, transitioning to a circular economy, and reducing our environmental impact.
We want to put people at the center, whether they are employees, customers, or partners, integrating wellbeing into the company's development aims.
We encourage the balance between work and private life, striving to increasingly meet individual needs. We provide tools and technologies that support flexibility.
We apply our skills to the creation of products designed to improve individual and collective wellbeing, in people’s projects of living, wherever they happen.
We support the transition from linear to circular economy, through the design of technologically innovative products and use of materials with low environmental impact.
The activation of services based on reuse and recycling policies, end-of-life management, and collaborations with research centers will help us implement innovative solutions to improve our sustainability performance.
We limit the production of waste whenever possible, through a policy of prevention, reduction and reuse of the product and its packaging.
We formally take steps to identify the critical issues connected to our activities, at every stage of the company’s processes.
We introduce analysis and measurement processes that allow us to know and understand the improvement areas on which to intervene.
We research and are looking for solutions aimed at mitigating our environmental impact, seeking the continuous improvement of our performance.
How does research and experimentation lead to new kinds of design solutions? This year we are reimagining Catifa, our most iconic collection, through the lens of a carbon negative re-engineered wood made exclusively from fiber-hardened paper. Research, material innovation, and partnership translated in modular collections and a cohesive aesthetic redefines design and beauty for the future.
Sustainability in Kata was not an afterthought on process, but rather a core impetus for the design itself. The result is a marriage of traditional craftsmanship and modern processes with a reduced environmental footprint.
Discover moreThe texture determined a lot for the collection. We developed a palette of very nuanced tones inspired in organic materials such as wood and leaves.
Discover moreCatifa Carta is not just a product; it is a symbol of our commitment to sustainability, connecting the past, present, and future.
Discover moreHow does design foster dialogue, grow community, and build connections? We believe in the profound impact of culture— exploration, experimentation, and expansive thinking — to educate and inform the world of design. We’re building a legacy of support to enrich our community, steward our brand, deepen our perspective, and contribute meaningfully to the future. Our many efforts, including the Arper Feltrin Foundation, A Lot With Little curated by Noemi Blager, and the Lina Bo Bardi Bowl Chair, showcase the power of culture in design and our aspiration to share new practices, methods of production, and ways of living.
