Ralik in the ADI Design Index

Ralik, our modular seating system, designed in 2023 by Ichiro Iwasaki, has been selected by the ADI Design Index 2024 and is competing in the XXIX edition of the Compasso d'Oro, an Italian award established in 1954 by Gio Ponti.

Ralik was recognized by ADI for its innovation and sustainability, introducing a new approach to sofa design: the Ralik modular system offers endless configurations that can be easily reconfigured thanks to its quick assembly system, which requires no tools. The collection includes six seating modules with removable upholstery in fabric, leather or coated fabric — ottoman, bench and seat with backrest, in 1-seater or 2-seater versions — that can be used individually or combined in modular configurations. Fixed or adjustable-height tables complement these modular solutions, adding structure and surfaces for work or relaxation to any configuration.

The Ralik collection also includes two accessory cushions, designed to provide additional comfort for larger configurations where bench modules align with backrest seating modules. The range of seating and tables includes power outlets for domestic, office, or public spaces.

Among Ralik’s distinctive features are the iconic “L”-shaped legs made of recycled polypropylene, which facilitate cleaning while giving the modules a sculptural effect. A wide selection of colors for the bases and upholstery allows extensive customization. Ralik’s covers are removable, and the entire collection is fully disassemblable to support reuse or recycling of materials.
 
 
 

On Tuesday 8th November, the Arper showroom opened its doors to customers and business partners to present the new products and how they respond to the evolution of the spaces and interpret the needs of the people who live in them.

On Wednesday 9th November, the Arper collections were the protagonists of a spectacular display in the outdoor spaces of the Akiba Step, in the heart of D3, the district dedicated to design, where Arper invited its partners to celebrate the Dubai Design Week and to experiment the new products in the stunning location.
