In February, Arper was the sole sponsor of one of the highest architecture accolades in Great Britain: the 2019 Royal Gold Medal.

The Royal Gold Medal was awarded this year to renowned British architect Sir Nicholas Grimshaw, known for his Modernist public buildings and large-scale infrastructure projects.
This prestigious prize is approved personally by Her Majesty The Queen, and given to a person or group of people who have had a significant influence, either directly or indirectly, on the advancement of architecture.

The winners received their Awards from RIBA President Alan Jones at an exclusive ceremony that took place at the RIBA London HQ, furbished with Arper’s Loop, Pix, Cila and Dizzie collections.

This year’s ceremony was attended by Lord Norman Foster, longstanding supporter of President’s Medals, who also presented the Silver Medal.

The Bronze and Silver Medals reward the best design projects produced at RIBA Part 2 and Part 1 or equivalent. The Dissertation Medal rewards accomplished written work.
