The Paravan collection, designed by Lievore Altherr, was recognised at the A+ Awards, organized by Architizer.com, the largest online community of architects in the world, with an audience of 7+ million strong.
In its 7th season, the awards focus on promoting and celebrating the year’s best architecture and design products. There were 222 winners in 115 categories, chosen amongst the over 5,000 entries from 100+ countries.

Entries are judged by over 400 distinguished luminaries from fields as diverse as design, technology, real estate, fashion, and more. Notable jurors from this year included Marion Weiss (Founder, WEISS/MANFREDI), Paul Goldberger (Architecture Critic), Evan Sharp (Co-Founder, Pinterest), Olafur Eliasson (Artist) and Piera Gelardi (Co-Founder, Refinery29).
Jurors nominate five finalists within each award category, based on their functional and aesthetic qualities, as well as their intent, innovativeness, and potential to last. These finalists are then presented online where people from around the globe vote for their favorites. In 2018, the website received over 400,000 public votes.
Like parentheses to enclose a conversation, Paravan creates intimacy in open areas with sound absorbing panels to support focus, concentration, and collaboration.
