Color in modern art

Our five-episode series “Color: a journey through art and design" continues with the third episode “Color in modern art".

Color is a key tool used by artists to express themselves, share their beliefs, convey a message and transform the viewers both spiritually and intellectually. In abstract and figurative painting, color, both animated and muted, monochromatic or not, can be used for various reasons, including its decorative beauty to express an idea, arouse an emotion or to create a mood.
