Arper expansion in the USA

In 2018, Arper commenced production at a new 100,200 square foot facility in High Point, North Carolina. The new plant is Arper first manufacturing center outside of the company's headquarters in Treviso and marks a significant shift towards a more global business model. The investment in the facility totals over 3 million dollars and allows Arper to fully operate as a domestic entity with increased efficiency in production and distribution across the U.S., while reducing the company's carbon footprint.

“We see incredible potential in the U.S. as one of the fastest growing and most relevant markets for design worldwide. High Point is an ideal base for Arper stateside manufacturing as we have found extremely high potential in the expertise and professionalism of local talent. Arper new upholstery unit in High Point operates vertically, allowing for modern, quick customization. With expanded manufacturing in the U.S., we can now turnaround and ship orders across America faster than ever.” – Claudio Feltrin, Chairman of the Board at Arper.

With a long history of furniture manufacturing, High Point offers a highly skilled workforce and multi-generational tradition of craftsmanship that aligns with Arper’s design values and human-centered approach.

The facility will serve a variety of manufacturing capabilities with a large focus on upholstery, with these roles filled by local workers and craftsmen. Over the coming years, Arper aims to produce 100% of upholstered product orders placed in the U.S. domestically.

Logistically, High Point offers an advantage for efficient components and material deliveries from Italy, as well as a central position for distribution to both coasts of key domestic markets with manufacturing closer to the point of delivery, Arper is able to reduce inventory and create a faster turnaround time that meets shifting customer expectations in the age of e-commerce and fast furniture.

To better serve customers across America, the company opened a new showroom in Los Angeles. It is Arper's third location in the U.S. and 12th globally, and represents the latest step towards strategic growth. The Los Angeles Showroom enables Arper to operate bi-coastally to more readily meet the needs of the California market – Arper's second largest in North America and one of the fastest growing sales regions across the world.

Located in Downtown Los Angeles, the new showroom was designed by New York-based architect Solveig Fernlund. The showroom, which totals approximately 3,000 square feet, houses Arper’s range of furnishings within a light-filled space, enlarged with high ceilings and oversized windows, which look out to an outdoor courtyard.

Arper Los Angeles is located at 550 South Hope Street, Suite 275, and is open by appointment Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.

Arper Usa is now established in the Usa. In addition to the LA exhibition space, the company leads the Chicago showroom, which opened in 2013 and is located in a 1,700 sq. ft. space within the Merchandise Mart, and NYC, headquarters to the Company, opened in 2015, which is located in a 4,000 sq. ft. loft in Soho.
