Arper proudly continues its support of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) in its annual awards programme celebrating outstanding work in architecture by recognizing the best architecture, architects, research and students.

Arper is the sole sponsor of the 2020 Royal Gold Medal events, to be held in February.
The Royal Gold Medal is the UK’s highest honour for architecture, approved personally by Her Majesty The Queen and given to a person or group of people who have had a significant influence either directly or indirectly on the advancement of architecture.

Dublin-based practice Grafton Architects, co-founded by Yvonne Farrell and Shelley McNamara, is the recipient of this distinguished Prize in recognition of a lifetime’s work and their humble and humane approach to architecture.

In December Arper sponsored the President’s Medals, the most prestigious prizes in architectural education globally and RIBA’s oldest awards.
The Bronze and Silver Medals, awarded respectively to Tengku Sharil of Bartlett School of Architecture UCL and Robert Beeny of University of Westminster, reward the best design projects produced at RIBA Part 1 and Part 2 or equivalent.
The Dissertation Medal, assigned to Lizzie Osborne of University of Huddersfield, rewards accomplished written work.
