2023 Sustainability Report
Our 2023 Sustainability Report leverages the experience we gathered with our first report in 2022 and serves as a comprehensive overview of our sustainability efforts.
With the Sustainability Report 2024, we enter the third year of our journey to measure our responsibility ambitions and report on progress, with a clear focus on a specific set of high-impact priorities. Rather than multiplying initiatives, in 2024 we concentrated our efforts on a specific set of high-impact priorities capable of generating tangible results across our three pillars: improving the quality of life and wellbeing of people, transitioning to a circular economy, and reducing our environmental impact. This direction is shaped by ongoing dialogue with our stakeholders and by integrating sustainability into the way we create value, with discipline, transparency, and long-term vision.
We continue to report with clarity and consistency, applying the ESRS across the entire Group and maintaining year-on-year comparability, to steer responsible choices that respect people, materials, and the environment.
This vision takes shape in both products and processes. In 2024, we launched Catifa Carta—our iconic Catifa 53 reimagined in PaperShell—an expression of an aesthetic that unites form and responsibility. At the same time, we introduced our Ecodesign Guidelines, which integrate environmental criteria at every stage of development, placing durability, modularity, disassembly, and informed material choices at the heart of our design approach.
This report embodies Designing the world we live in: sustainable growth for people and communities, guided by honesty and transparency across environmental, social, and economic dimensions. Our choices shape our identity and the value we create every day. We pursue a beauty that prioritizes care over novelty, selecting more responsible materials and processes. In this way, design becomes a shared responsibility, enhancing the way we live and work, today and tomorrow.
Some of the results we have obtained in 2024 are highlighted here below, and include advancements in all three pillars.

An ESG score is a way to assign a quantitative metric – such as a numerical score or letter rating – to the environmental, social and governance (ESG) efforts undertaken by an organization.
A global digital platform to assess the sustainability of the supply chain 2022: B
A valuation tool to connect people and organizations in a collaborative ESG ecosystem 2022: 86/100, 2023: 84/100
The first section of the report focuses on our company, our brand ethos, on the essence of who we are. We want to face the challenges of the present time with a long-term vision and with planned actions able to positively impact the world.
The Pillars are the foundation of Arper’s sustainability strategy, representing the company’s three main goals in achieving responsible practices: improving the quality of life, starting the transition to a circular economy and reducing our environmental impact.
To achieve the three main goals of our strategy, the Pillars, we need to create a suitable infrastructure made of processes – but also mindsets – that will allow projects and plans to be developed and executed.
After identifying the Pillars and levers of change, the report focuses on the practical implementations of the strategy, outlining areas where we believe we can make a difference in the long term.
Our objective is to transform Arper into a leading example of responsible business. To achieve this, we carefully selected goals that will drive positive change.

Our 2022 sustainability report, the first we published, serves as a comprehensive overview of our sustainability efforts for the year 2022, outlining our commitment to responsible business practices.
The documentation we collected to produce our own impact valuation report is freely available to anyone who would like to embark on a similar attempt, and should by no means be considered as an exhaustive resource. Still, we hope it will provide a good starting point.
