The 2013 Edition of the ADI Design Index marks for Arper an important event: a double selection, with two Arper products to be represented in the prestigious volume edited by ADI, Association for Industrial Design, which annually gathers the best of Italian design.
The double selection represents the recognition of the industrial path of the Treviso company by ADI that makes known both the quality of our production and the design choices that have made possible the selection of Saya and Juno, judged by the Permanent Observatory of ADI Design as innovative products and complying with the requirements of the Association.
Saya and Juno are two very different chairs in shape, materials, and functions, and were both presented in Milan during the Salone del Mobile in 2012. Saya, designed by Lievore Altherr Molina, is made of oak plywood, has a cozy and iconic backrest and a striking silhouette. Juno, one of the latest projects of James Irvine, is made of polypropylene and offers an extremely versatile variety of uses, both in internal and external environments.

Saya and Juno will then be part of Design|Opera, an exhibition of the products selected for this edition by the Permanent Observatory of the ADI, which will be inaugurated on October 1 at the Triennale in Milan in connection with the presentation of the ADI Design Index 2013 and which will remain open to visitors until November 3, 2013 to make known to an ever wider audience the best of Italian design.
The 2013 Edition of the ADI Design Index concludes the period leading to the XXIII Compasso D'Oro, a much coveted internationally recognized award, which has three candidate Arper projects: Saya and Juno - in the thematic category "Design for Living" - and the Brand Image - in the category “Visual Design”-.
