Arper’s Adell chair, designed by the Lievore + Altherr Désile Park studio, was included in the ADI Design Index 2021, in the Design for Living category.

The volume collects the products that will enter the Compasso D’Oro ADI 2022 Award, the most prestigious recognition of the production and design quality of goods, services, processes and systems of Italian design.

Sustainability is at the core of the project: the shell is made of 80% recycled polypropylene, is produced without the use of glue and its paint meets specific environmental requirements, making the chair completely disassembled. All materials can be recycled or reused, reducing waste overall.

The ADI Design Index 2021 publication was presented on 27 October at the ADI Design Museum in Milan, coinciding with the inauguration of the exhibition of the selected products, which can be visited until 7 November. The next stop of the exhibition will be Rome.

Adell has been created with adaptability in mind. Designed for use in spaces of repose, Adell can be customized to suit myriad contexts, from lounge areas to waiting rooms, educational common areas, hospitality spaces or residential settings. To accommodate a variety of contexts, Adell is available in a recycled textured plastic finish only, fully upholstered, in plastic with upholstered seat cushion, or in plastic with a removable cushion or full cover, for indoor and outdoor use. Base options include metal or wooden leg configurations or sled base in metal. These configuration options and timeless design extend the use cases of the Adell, creating an enduring product with a long lifespan to reduce the amount of waste in our environment.
