New Showroom in Chicago

We are opening our first Chicago showroom outside of the Merchandise Mart in the Fulton Market district.
In addition to our manufacturing facility in High Point, NC, this new space is one of three showrooms in the US–Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and our fifteenth showroom globally.

Roberto Monti, CEO of Arper, shares the significance of opening this new showroom in Fulton Market, “we’ve had a presence in Chicago for over a decade, and it continues to be a key strategic market for Arper. Chicago has a deep history of design and architecture, so it is a logical market for our design brand. Chicago is also a central location that serves the broader region, with visitors frequently traveling in from other markets.”
We chose to open a standalone showroom outside of The Mart, as this lends an opportunity to reach a broader audience and interact more directly with clients and visitors from the surrounding community.
“We want to be part of a thriving and diverse neighborhood that serves both industry professionals and consumers alike. This space showcases our perspective through The Project of Living, offering solutions in an environment that intuitively supports the occupants in a variety of settings” said Roberto Monti, CEO of Arper.

The new 4,500-square-foot space was designed by Charlie Greene Studio and will feature an outdoor space, illustrating the versatility and flexibility of many products. The showroom will highlight how our portfolio can be utilized in a variety of settings, from the workplace to hospitality to residential.
We aim to shift the paradigm of the traditional showroom by creating a space that can be utilized for a variety of functions with a focus on community, hospitality, and design. The goal of this space is to share the brand’s perspective on The Project of Living, aiming to create an inspiring and engaging space that supports all of the ways we live and work today. Just like The Project of Living evolves, we see this space continually evolving and plans to host clients and partners to meet, learn, collaborate, and celebrate. We envision this as an immersive experience to learn about the brand and products, offering a studio-like setting where designers and clients alike can browse, design, and specify solutions tailored to their exact needs. The space also offers a library and studio setting to enable clients to design and browse a wide array of available options and finishes.

The showroom embodies a sustainable mindset through its open layout, minimizing architectural material usage. Architectural elements discreetly support the furniture, becoming a backdrop to the brand’s mission without overshadowing it. This thoughtful approach creates an atmosphere that echoes our ethos and commitment to sustainability. The space utilizes fixtures and appliances that perform beyond any regulatory requirements, including low-flow plumbing fixtures, Energy Star appliances, and energy-saving lighting. As is outlined in our sustainability report, we are also limiting our environmental impact in various ways as part of daily practice, including recycling, limited landfill waste, and elimination of single-use plastics. The abundant natural light in the space is also a nod not only to sustainability but also to the health and well-being of users of the space.
